Something's In The Air Redux project 0.9

For the March update I have completed a "first draft" of the completed game.  All the material I wanted to be in the game is here.  I just need to debug the code and polish up some of the dialog and we will be ready to launch.

The Final Ending!

The biggest addition is a final ending.  For this 0.9 version only I have made reaching the new ending easier.  In the gallery, show all endings.  If you have completed enough endings, it will take you to the final one after it cycles through the endings you completed. Or, you can click on "repeat the final ending" and start a new game to take you to the first new ending followed immediately by the final ending (in the final release the final ending will only appear after you reached all the other endings).  Hope you enjoy the fun twist to the ending.

Voicing Rachel Meets Ariane

I have been working on voicing Rachel Meets Ariane bonus content as part of an experiment. I am using AI voices from Eleven Labs to do it, and so far only completed the first two chapters.  I am planning to do the whole bonus before I release 1.0.  Voicing the game this way is a little time consuming. It is easy enough that I can do it in my spare time while watching TV, but I am only allowed X number of lines to voice per month.  To do all of SITAR would take the rest of the year, and I don't want to wait that long.  If I do decide to voice the whole game I'll release updates as they are completed.

Why start with the bonus and not the more prominent beginning?  First, the tech is in beta. There is no easy way to "direct" the AI voices yet to read the lines the way I want them to sound in my head. They say those tools will come soon, and the more prominent parts of the game need to be voiced after those tools are available.  Second, there is an obvious drop in interactivity as soon as the voicing ends, and I'd rather that not happen at the beginning of the game.

Some have already said they don't like the AI voices. There is a "voice" volume slider in properties to turn it off.  Game plays identical with volume to 0.  If you find it odd that only the character voices are heard and not the narration, you can press V to turn on self voicing, which will read all the dialog not voiced.

Coming Soon

If there are no major bugs in 0.9, I want to convert the game to Android.  I am not sure I can do a "lo-res" and "hi-res" versions in Android, in fact because Renpy 8.3 is so different from Renpy 7.4 (the last version I can use to make Android SDK files reliably) I am not sure I can do a single version.  But I have to try.  Worse case I have to leave some new content out that won't work in 7.4, but I do not know specifically what that would be. Then it is time to call it done and release a 1.0 version I can release on an unsuspecting public.
