Something's In The Air Redux project 0.99

Version 0.99 represents the last beta release before a final release which I hope to have ready by the end of April.

Starting with the "first draft" I made in 0.9, I have been play testing the game, creating an android version and a demo version, and testing those too.

Inevitably during testing there are graphics that don’t look good enough, dialogue that doesn’t flow well or make much sense, so I have been making minor edits and redoing about 98 pictures to make them look better.

Update 0.991

Changed how hovering in all menus works, enlarging the text and changing the outline around the text, as well as changing the color.  This makes the game easier to play with a gamepad, but also affects mouse over hovering.  Does not affect android version as the android touch screen does not use hovering.

Voicing Rachel Meets Ariane

I started voicing Rachel Meets Ariane in 0.9, I added voicing chapter 3, the photography section. I hope to have the final two chapters before the game officially releases.

False Virus Reports in Windows 11

Note: Windows Defender has been falsely flagging the sitar.exe file as containing a virus and quarantining it. I have moved to a newer version of Renpy, that doesn't get flagged, so if you can't find the exe file, you can go two routes:

1. On Windows 11 (10 may have different instructions), go to Settings > Windows Security > Virus and Threat Protection > Protection History > find the false virus report (it might say falsely that it found the Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml virus) click on Action and Restore the file.

2. Download the full version from itch.io and forget about updating. This should not interfere with game saves or progress.

I am working towards a mid to late April release as soon as I finish the voice work. This will give me some time to get all the marketing stuff done, too.

Android is done, and since I’ve decided to not voice Android, it is version 1.0 already.

The demo is also done. The demo basically includes the first "venue" in each of the main character's paths: Ariane at the Drive-N-Dine, Rachel at the restaurant, Bonnie and Veronica at the bar, Wendy at the Gym, with only Stacy's "Centerfold" path being in the demo completely. Once the stories change venues, a "buy the game to continue" pops up followed by a trailer which includes screen shots of post demo scenes. The demo trailer is NSFW and contains nudity. I am making a SFW version to post on You Tube and other web sites.
